Its' versatile shape offers you the possibility of experimenting with a wide variety of positions. Imagine floating stretched out from head to toe. Or moving across the pool to rest comfortably against one side while putting your feet up on the opposite side for support. If you are tall, you'll really appreciate the length of the Oval Pool.
One of the most important features of this pool is its strong - wide rim. You'll appreciate the comfort and support it provides in virtually all of the positions you may use during labour and birth. "The pool provides comfortable support for you when entering or leaving the pool. You may sit on the rim and swivel your legs round into the pool, or hold onto the rim and step over into the pool”.

  • You'll find it a supportive and comfortable surface to lean on. A very popular position for labour and birth, that you may like to try, is kneeling forward with your arms resting on the rim.
  • The wide, gently curved surface of the rim provides a broad surface to rest your forearms on and relax in between contractions
  • Your partner and midwife will also appreciate being able to lean on the wide, comfortable rim when assisting you.
  • You may need to hold onto the rim for supported squats and other upright positions.
  • You may want to be supported by your partner. A favourite position is for him to sit on the rim of the pool with his legs in the pool. You can then settle down between his legs with your arms resting on his thighs. The perfect supported squat!
  • The seat-step is a unique and important feature of this pool. It helps you to enter and leave the pool. It's also great for you to use during labour: to assist squatting, to kneel on or to push against. If you give birth in the water - you'll probably want to stay in the pool to welcome your baby. You can rest comfortably on the seat with your baby at your breast during these precious first moments.

The oval pool can be rented with a heating system to keep the water on temperature.

Inflatable pool Birth Pool in a Box Mini and Regular

The inflatable pool  comes with one disposable liner. The inflatable pool is available in two sizes: Mini and Regular. This pool features external pattern plus an internal step and handles on the top. The step and handles aid entry & exit. The top handles are great to hold while lying back face upwards in the pool. Always use a new disposable liner for birth. If you wish to do a full trial run, or use the pool for relaxation in late pregnancy, you can order an extra liner here. See the Related Items (winkel) if you would like to purchase the Optional Waterbirth Pool Kit or additional liners. Important to mention is the fact that we use two different hoses. One to fill the pool and one to empty the pool. This is very important because of hygienic measures!

There’s also an inflatable pool without a regular step.

Deep enough to give buoyancy without compromising midwife support
The minimum recommended depth of water to provide buoyancy for a mother in labour is 45cm. The inflatable pool has an internal depth of 66 cm and since the sides are stiff when inflated, you can fill water to a depth of 57 cm.

Four independent chambers for improved safety
The sides the pool are made of 5 independent tubular chambers stacked on top of each other. If one of them should puncture by accident, only 1/3 of the wall height will be lost. This is safer for mother and baby and results in little to no water on your floor than a puncture into a single-chambered inflatable pool
